Accessibility Statement

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard most widely used to judge whether a website is usable by people with disabilities. Accessibility is something we work on continuously rather than a box we consider checked, and we treat reports from students as the most reliable signal of where we fall short.

Steps we have taken on this website include:

• a “skip to main content” link so keyboard and screen reader users can bypass the navigation on every page;
• semantic headings and landmarks, so screen readers can announce page structure and move between sections;
• visible labels on every enrollment form field, with errors announced as text rather than signalled by color alone;
• full keyboard operability — every link, button, checkbox, and form field on the enrollment page can be reached and activated without a mouse;
• text and interface colors chosen for contrast, and layouts that reflow for zoom and small screens.

We would rather tell you where the gaps are than claim there are none:

• Secure payment page. Card payments are completed on a hosted page operated by Authorize.net. That page is outside our control, and we cannot guarantee its accessibility. If you have trouble on it, call us and we will take your payment directly.
• Embedded map. The Google Maps embed on our contact page is a third-party component. Our address and driving directions are also written out as plain text nearby, so the map is never the only way to get that information.
• Documents and third-party content. Some DMV forms and materials we link to are produced by other organizations and may not meet the same standard.

If anything on this site prevents you from finding information or completing your enrollment, please tell us — including the page you were on and the assistive technology or browser you were using, if you know it.

We aim to respond within 5 business days. If we cannot fix something right away, we will tell you what we are doing about it and make sure you have another way to get what you need in the meantime.

No one has to use this website to become a student here. Every course, package, and service on this site can be arranged by phone at (718) 466-7717 or in person at 850 Longwood Avenue, Bronx, NY 10459, at the same prices, with a staff member completing the paperwork with you. If the online enrollment form is not working for you for any reason, call us and we will handle it together.
