Refund & Cancellation Policy

To cancel or move a lesson, give us at least 24 hours' notice — call (718) 466-7717. There is no charge and no limit on rescheduling with proper notice, subject to availability.

If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, or don't show up, the lesson counts as taken. Your instructor and vehicle were reserved for you and couldn't be given to another student.

• Class D — you may pay $40 to reschedule that lesson instead of losing it. That's your choice; you can also let it go. Tell us before your next scheduled lesson. The $40 covers rescheduling a lesson that has already been used and is not refundable.
• CDL Class A and School Bus — the lesson is forfeited and no paid reschedule is available. These vehicles and instructors are booked well in advance and can't be reassigned at short notice.

Calling us always leaves you better off than not calling. Even short notice may let us fill the slot.

If you have prepaid for a package and decide to stop before finishing it — or if we are unable or unwilling to complete your training — you are entitled to a refund.

There is no deadline on this. Whether you withdraw in your first week or your fourth month, the same calculation applies.

What you get back

Everything you paid us, minus:

1. The enrollment fee shown on your contract, if there is one; and
2. The per-lesson charge for each lesson you have already taken — your package price divided by the number of lessons it includes.

We calculate lessons at your package rate, not our single-lesson price. You keep the benefit of your package discount.

What isn't refunded

Services we have already provided, or already paid for on your behalf:

• The 5-hour pre-licensing course, once you have taken it
• A road test vehicle, once you have used it
• DMV fees, once the DMV has taken them — these are paid to the DMV, not kept by us, and we can't recover them on your behalf
• The $40 rescheduling charge, if you chose to use it

These appear as separate lines on your order, so you can see exactly what you're paying for.

We do not charge a cancellation fee, an administrative fee, or a restocking fee, and we do not deduct payment processing costs from your refund.

Packages expire 6 months from the date of purchase.

If something serious comes up — a medical situation, a pregnancy, a college term away — talk to us. We can often pause a package for a defined period. Ask before your package expires; we can't restore one after it lapses.

A package may be transferred to a family member or friend. Contact the school to arrange it.

Refunds are returned to your original payment method within 10 business days of your cancellation. Where that isn't possible, we'll issue a check to the address on your student record.

If you are under 18, your parent or guardian enrolls alongside you and is the person we contact about payments and refunds. Either of you may ask about your account at any time.

If you are a veteran or an eligible person enrolling with VA education benefits, New York regulation requires a different refund calculation, set out in full in your contract. Tell us before you enroll so we give you the correct contract.
